I would prefer a little more efficient design (there is a difference in volume between my interior speakers and these open-air, it is a bit too strong on the inside or a little to help the careless use of a single receiver), but so is the punishment for a completely closed housing. I gave them 45 stars because the price is higher than other loudspeakers outside. The AW6500 probably better than the speakers of lower prices (at least on paper, the frequency response is much larger), but I think I might just as well get him the best of four speakers lower prices and one subwoofer. In addition, grid-speakers seem to work too often lose. Despite the gripes, I would probably still buy these speakers again.

I have 14 this speaker … 7 for home theater and 7 for the bedroom. These come in a number of different brand names, Carver and Audiovox, but they contain exactly the same speakers and crossovers (I took it apart).

Phoenix Gold is the actual manufacturer … but I do not get stuck on names. Just know that the speaker stands and bases are not the sculptor, and Audiovox vice versa. The sculpture is 16 "long and Audiovox are 20" long. Everyone just 3 1 / 2 "deep. The housings are made of aluminum mesh and I think the caps are plastic.

Ok, I'm in my fifties and have a lifelong lover of movies and music. In my youth I also played the saxophone professionally. I have many major brands of speakers and my favorites have always been my speakers Wharfedale 1969-4 channels with strong fences Nussbaum was filled with sand. These models were at Carnegie Hall in Wharfedale and allegedly belongs to the public could not tell theDifference between an orchestra and the speakers. Well, I find it hard to believe, but at least the demo shows the firm submitted a Wharfedale kind of confidence in their products.

The Audiovox / Carver speakers are superb. You are at 20 kHz and 90 Hz + – 2.5 dB. This lower level seems to be an accurate description of the Audyssey setup on my Denon 1909 receiver shows a minimum of 90 or even 80Hz. Since the 20 kHz, I can not measure, but they produceCrystal clear highs and mids without cavernous or muddy. My wife has had sensitive ears (which slightly injured) and is one of the few speakers I said, where she likes the noise. I'm sure in a blind test Products Company Speaker called premium could not be said of the others.

The dialogue is so important in movies that comes from these speakers is phenomenal. I use this over a year and yet to marvel at the sound quality. The quality of constructionis also very well done.

Ok, this is my position … but it is just an opinion … but I do not know how you could go wrong. If you are considering buying these start with a couple as I am. I do not think it will take until you have up to 5 or 6 or 7 or 14.

Now that you’ve mounted your flat-panel LCD or gas-plasma TV to the wall in true picture-frame fashion, you’ll probably need home-theater speakers with a similarly flat, room-friendly design. Enter the AST 220-series loudspeakers, which AudioSource consciously constructed for use in concert with each other.
