The President's Lazy Way to Spice Up Your Presentation

The average attention span of an adult literacy rate is 20 minutes.

Well, think of you. 20 minutes is the time.

But how many speeches you have visited, where you slept in the first two minutes?

And what are you afraid that people will do the same for yours?

It seems awfully clear: if you are not interesting, no one will pay attention. If you see an episode of the OC or Grey's Anatomy, you are there to entertain, to. YouTo observe because the twists and relationships to be developed on the screen interesting. No big deal? You can change the channel.

People can not afford to turn a speaker. But they can certainly turn off their own brain, and if you do not watch out, you are most people dozing in their chairs.

Find the expectations of your audience, do your best to break them. Is your audience that you will be very formal? Take off your jacket and getbehind your podium. Is your audience that it is serious? Be irreverent. Be self-irony.

An easy way to do this is to ask unexpected questions. It makes people think and also keep waking up because it is embarrassing to sleep elected.

5) Laugh! Never underestimate the power of humor. It has been said to death, but somehow people still seem to get it to. And they end with the audience dead.

And I am not just aBeginning or the end of the humor. Make sure that you do! It is a pity that your audience does not pay attention to talk to your body.

6) visual. Well, a blog providing information about that, "They show a woman half () naked. But take this with a pinch of salt. It would be inappropriate, and you never know when a dedicated feminist have one threw stones from the audience.

Instead, you can be visually. It is almost undeniable that we remember the imagesbetter than words. If you have a PowerPoint presentation, make it visually striking. At the lowest level, it is as simple as bold words for emphasis. At higher levels, you may add images or even videos.

7) If you are stuck with only words and then use that fiction writers at the age used by writers and: the metaphor, comparison and analogy. All these techniques are developed in order to see the images in the mind of the reader call – or you the audience – andTo help keep your message better.

8) Telling Stories [http://blog.ericfeng.com/getting-your-audience-engaged-excited-at-the-edge-of-their-seats-at-all-times]. This may seem difficult, but it is not because we do it all the time.

If you say, your friends, if you stuck in traffic or dealing with your boss or the terrible time you've tried so hard to get tickets for a concert, you are in essence the essential life conflict.

Tell yourPublic for a particular conflict, it was decided. It makes you love them and help them, sympathize with you. In addition, the stories are just much more memorable and interesting than a series of unrelated facts.

9) Write your speech at the beginning. Many people wait minutes, until the last to start working on their presentation that they caused to be safe and not boring. If you do not have your boat jokes and stories first carefully, you will say at the endthe wrong or not telling it all.

10) Keep your role as a speaker in the eye all the time. You can start a folder with notes or documents used to talk to each, in.

If something interesting, you happened to write it. If a friend tells a joke, or if you happen to read a story in Nice from a book or on the Internet, to write it. You never know when to come in handy.
